............But the 'star' of the show was pianist Marcus Martin. With his innate understanding of the musical theatre genre - and the lighter repertoire in general - his natural talent as a musician and accompanist was apparent throughout. His impressive 'jazz interlude' during  Irving Berlin's 'Cheek to Cheek' gained a spontaneous and much-deserved round of applause.  © Nick Scott. www.edinburghguide.com
